Consent Language — Signup / Account Registration

Purpose: Text to display at account registration. Capture each acceptance in ConsentLog with consent_type, policy version, timestamp, and IP.

1. A. Mandatory acceptance (single checkbox, UNTICKED by default — block submission until ticked)#

☐ I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older, and I have read and agree to the EnthiosHub [Terms & Conditions] and [Privacy Policy]. I understand that EnthiosHub is a technology platform that connects event organizers and attendees, and is not the organizer of any event.

Record as: consent_type = terms_privacy_acceptance, plus age_confirmation (store the accepted document versions).

2. B. Age gate (if you prefer a separate control)#

☐ I confirm I am at least 18 years old. (If you are under 18, you may participate only through a parent, guardian, or registering institution.)

Record as: consent_type = age_confirmation.

3. C. Optional marketing (separate checkbox, UNTICKED by default — see doc 26)#

☐ (Optional) I would like to receive newsletters, event recommendations, and promotional offers from EnthiosHub by email. I can unsubscribe at any time.

Record as: consent_type = marketing_email, granted = true/false.

4. Implementation notes#

• The mandatory checkbox must be unticked by default; submission disabled until ticked.
• Marketing consent must be separate from Terms/Privacy acceptance (do not bundle).
• Link the exact version of each document; re-prompt acceptance when a version materially changes.
• Store IP + timestamp (your ConsentLog already captures these).
