Consent Language — WhatsApp

Purpose: Opt-in text for WhatsApp messaging. Capture in ConsentLog with consent_type = whatsapp. Only required once/if WhatsApp is integrated (not currently integrated).

1. Opt-in (separate, UNTICKED by default)#

☐ (Optional) I agree to receive messages from EnthiosHub on WhatsApp at the mobile number provided — including event updates, reminders, and (where I have opted in) promotional messages. I understand this is optional, that Meta/WhatsApp's terms apply, and that I can opt out at any time by replying STOP or via my account settings.

Record as: consent_type = whatsapp, granted = true.

2. Implementation & compliance notes#

• WhatsApp is not currently integrated. Do not send WhatsApp messages until: (a) you onboard an approved WhatsApp Business API/BSP provider, (b) you use pre-approved message templates, and (c) you have captured explicit opt-in from the recipient.
• Distinguish utility/transactional templates (e.g., booking confirmation) from marketing templates; marketing templates require marketing opt-in.
• Provide and honour an opt-out ("reply STOP"); record the withdrawal and stop sending.
• Respect WhatsApp Business Policy and Commerce Policy, and Indian law (DPDP, TRAI where applicable).
• Do not send WhatsApp messages to numbers for which you only hold transactional-SMS/other-channel consent — WhatsApp requires its own opt-in.
